The travel vloggers Lucy and Mac are wild camping by the Gambia River at the Gué de Wassadou near Niokolo-Koba National Park in Senegal. After catching a glimpse of wild hippos, they are suddenly informed by armed park rangers that overnight camping at the ford is newly prohibited. To stay safe, they pack up their camper van at dusk and relocate to a nearby military post where they spend the night and are welcomed by local children the next morning.
